The Office of the Prime Minister informs that Prime Minister Hon. John Briceño departed the country today to Nassau, Bahamas, to attend the Meeting of the Heads of Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM) and the President of the Dominican Republic with the Vice President of the United States of America.
The Prime Minister is accompanied by Hon. Eamon Courtenay, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Trade, and Immigration, and H.E. Lawrence Sylvester, Belize’s Ambassador to CARICOM.
The Prime Minister returns to Belize on June 9. During his absence, Hon. Cordel Hyde, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining, will hold over as Prime Minister.
