Governor General H.E. Froyla Tzalam received the Letters of Credence of two new ambassadors to Belize at a virtual ceremony held today.
Presenting their letters of credence were H.E. Mrs. Milena Georgieva Ivanova, Ambassador for the Republic of Bulgaria; and H.E. Mr. Alireza Ghezili, Ambassador for the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The ambassadors each conveyed on behalf of their respective countries their intent to continue the work of building strong bilateral relationships and increasing cooperation in different areas. The Governor General welcomed the ambassadors and extended her well wishes to the respective countries. She also shared her regrets about not being able to meet the ambassadors in person due to COVID-19 restrictions.
