Today, Governor General H.E. Dame Froyla Tzalam received letters of credence from five newly appointed ambassadors to Belize.
H.E. Maria Clara Girbau Ronda, Ambassador of Spain; H. E. Beliz Celasin Rende, Ambassador of Türkiye; H. E. Amr Abdelwareth, Ambassador of Egypt; H. E. Jorge Rosado La Torre, Ambassador of Peru; and H. E. Dr. Hardy Boeckle, Ambassador of Germany, presented their credentials at the Belize House in Belmopan.
The ambassadors each expressed their hopes of forging stronger bonds with Belize during their tenure. The Governor General extended a warm welcome to the diplomats and conveyed well wishes on behalf of the people of Belize.
The Governor General also received a courtesy call from H. E. Olivier Jacques, the High Commissioner of Canada to Belize.
