Belize City, Belize. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Science, and Technology (MoECST), the Belize National Teachers’ Union (BNTU), and the Managing Authorities of pre-primary, primary, and secondary schools have reaffirmed their commitment to fostering collaboration and enhancing Belize’s education system for the benefit of all stakeholders.
At a first-ever meeting of education stakeholders chaired by Hon. Francis Fonseca, Minister of Education, Culture, Science and Technology, the BNTU and Managing Authorities engaged in constructive dialogue with the Ministry and relevant agencies such as the Social Security Board, Belize Tax Services and Treasury Department. A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a joint statement, underscoring a commitment to fostering sustained, effective, and efficient collaboration and communication to benefit students, teachers, parents, and administrators, with the goal of creating an education system that meets the needs of the nation and its people.
Charged with the responsibility of ensuring equitable access to quality education, MoECST remains dedicated to equipping all Belizeans with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary for personal growth and active participation in the nation’s development.
MoECST, BNTU, and school Managing Authorities will continue to engage in meaningful dialogue and joint initiatives aimed at addressing challenges, promoting innovation, and enhancing the quality of education for all.
