On February 20, 2021, Hon. Oscar Requeña, Minister of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government, along with Mr. Valentino Shal, Chief Executive Officer in the Ministry, held a handing over ceremony with the Pueblo Viejo Water Board, Toledo District.
The Ministry donated over $6,000 worth of PVC pipes and fittings of various dimensions to the water board. The materials will be used to complete the expansion of water supply to areas in the village that are currently unserved.
The expansion of the water system is necessary to meet the demands of this growing village.
