Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government Celebrates Stakeholders

Belmopan, July 22, 2024. 

In a ceremony held on Friday, July 19, key stakeholders were recognized and honoured by the Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour and Local Government for their outstanding contributions in 2023/2024. This ceremony was a testament to the Ministry’s commitment to recognizing and rewarding those who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and impact in their respective fields.

Six village councils were lauded by the Rural Transformation Department for their exemplary governance and community stewardship, showcasing steadfast dedication to fostering growth, transparency, and prosperity. Four water boards were acknowledged for their outstanding governance, exemplary service, and unwavering commitment to the community’s welfare and resilience, and Belize Water Services Limited (BWS) was recognized for its outstanding technical support and relentless pursuit of excellence in enhancing the quality and reliability of our water services.

The Labour Department honoured the Social Security Board for its impactful contributions and collaborative engagement towards achieving the Department’s objectives, and the Local Government Department recognized the San Pedro Town Council for its exemplary achievements in championing digital advancement, demonstrating financial stewardship, and empowering community engagement.

Their contributions have played a pivotal role in promoting transparency, accountability, and civic engagement at the local level.
