On Monday, February 8, 2021, the Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics, received a courtesy visit from Mr. Ramiro Lopez Ghio, Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) country representative.
Mr. Lopez Ghio shared potential areas of opportunity in different sectors within the Ministry. The highlight of the meeting was the possible collaboration between the IDB and the Government of Belize in the energy sector as the country moves forward with its renewable energy strategy in alignment with Plan Belize.
Minister Ferguson thanked Mr. Lopez Ghio for his visit and the IDB for its interest in accelerating the development of Belize.
Present in the meeting were Mr. Marconi Leal Jr., Chief Executive Officer, and Mr. Ryan Cobb, Director of Energy.
