The Ministry of Investment, through its Investment Policy and Compliance Unit (IPCU), joined the Taiwan Technical Mission and the National Women’s Commission at the Belize City ITVET for the launch of the Animation bootcamp for women and girls in Belize City.
The Animation bootcamp is being offered in Corozal Town, Orange Walk Town and Belize City. There will be a total of six training sessions in Belize City: three in-person classes and three online. The objective of the Animation bootcamp for Belizean women and girls is to provide opportunities for women to learn basic digital skills in graphic art and animation, enabling the participants to be able to produce short, animated movies. The demand for these skills utilized in the Orange Economy is increasing across various industries, including film, television, gaming, advertising, and marketing.
After these trainings, female students will be incentivized to create an original story and script to animate and place on the internet. The objective of this is to create something that is original and that can eventually have copyrights as an original creation for further development.

Compliance Unit, Ministry of Investment; Ms. Seidi Quetzal, Foreign Service Officer, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade; Mr. Roberto Pan, Chief of the Taiwan Technical Mission; Ms. Jill Tsai, Project Manager of the Taiwan Technical Mission; and Mr. Jeavon Sanker, Animation Instructor, Imageries Animation Studios.
The President of the of the National Women’s Commission invites women and girls to register to participate in the upcoming Animation Bootcamp that will take place in Orange Walk Town.
