Her Excellency Mrs. María Caridad Balaguer Labrada, Ambassador-Designate
of the Republic of Cuba, today, presented her Letter of Credentials to H.E. Froyla Tzalam, Governor General of Belize, at the Belize House in Belmopan.
The ambassador expressed her country’s hope of continuing to strengthen the special bilateral relationship with Belize, which includes cooperation in areas including health, education and tourism. She was accompanied by Mr. Gustavo Aguinaga Linares, second secretary.
The Governor General warmly welcomed the ambassador and conveyed her well wishes to the Government and people of Cuba.
During the brief meeting, there was an exchange of gifts and a toast to the diplomatic bond between the two countries.
