Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Youth, Sports and Transport and current President of Consecade Central America, travelled to Venezuela with five Belizean youth track and field athletes to compete in the VI Central American and Caribbean School Sports Games (JEDECAC 2023), which will be held in Caracas, Venezuela, from November 20 to December 1.
The athletes have an excellent opportunity to represent the country in the sporting event, giving them a stage to display their abilities on the field.
Belize’s sports council representatives, Marissa Cervantes and Tarique Cano, are accompanying the minister to participate in a youth leadership development program.
During his visit, Hon. Rodwell Ferguson will also sign a memorandum of understanding with Venezuela’s Ministry of Sports.
