The Ministry of Natural Resources, Petroleum and Mining informs the public that the Geology and Petroleum Department (GPD) will be participating in the virtual American Association of Petroleum Geologists Prospect and Property Expo (APPEX) 2021 from March 1 to 4, 2021.
This expo caters for countries and their governments to promote and attract exploration investment. The Department will host a virtual booth and make a main stage presentation on the revised petroleum laws and fiscal system from March 1 to 4, 2021.
The GPD also participated in a showcase presentation from February 1 to 26, 2021, and made a showcase presentation on February 23rd on the petroleum potential of Belize and new exploration opportunities.
The objective of the GPD is to attract petroleum investment to Belize to stimulate oil and gas exploration and new discoveries to increase the country’s petroleum reserves and revenues from petroleum.
