Belmopan. February 25, 2019. The Elections and Boundaries Department hereby notifies the public that effective 1st March 2019, all registration offices countrywide will be opened as follows:
Mondays to Fridays from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (1st to 8th March 2019)
Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (2nd and 9th March 2019)
This is to facilitate persons who are qualified to register and have not yet registered, and wish to vote in the upcoming Referendum on 10th April 2019.
Please be reminded in order to vote in this referendum, you must register to vote no later than 12th March 2019. Persons desirous of being registered are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
Persons wishing to apply to be registered are required to produce any of the following valid original documents.
- Belizean Birth Certificate along with (Social Security Card or photograph certified, stamped and signed by a Justice of the Peace); or
- Belizean Passport; or
- Belizean Nationality Certificate, (Social Security Card or photograph certified, stamped and signed by a Justice of the Peace is required for certificates without picture); or
- Commonwealth Passport (for Commonwealth Citizens)
