On February 20, 2025, the Ministry of Human Development, Families and Indigenous Peoples’ Affairs signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Agape International Missions Belize (AIM), a global organization committed to addressing human trafficking and exploitation, while providing essential support services for survivors. This landmark collaboration aims to strengthen efforts to improve the lives of individuals affected by trafficking.
The Chief Executive Officer emphasized the importance of collaboration between government entities and non-governmental organizations in addressing these critical issues, stating, “This partnership will be instrumental in providing comprehensive support to individuals who are vulnerable to exploitation and trafficking.”
Agape International Missions has extensive experience in combating human trafficking and has played a crucial role in rescuing and empowering individuals who have been victims.
Through this partnership, the Ministry and AIM Belize will work together to combat human trafficking by providing rehabilitative services and holistic support for survivors.
