The Ministry of Infrastructure Development and Housing (MIDH) informs the public of the departure of Mr. Rey David Guerrero, CEO with responsibility for Housing. The MIDH is the amalgamation of the former Ministry of Works and the Ministry of Housing. Mr. Guerrero was appointed as a second CEO within the ministry, with direct responsibility for housing. This was deemed necessary to undertake the rebuilding and restructuring of the former Ministry of Housing. The rebuilding of the Housing Section of the MIDH included the development of the Low-Cost Housing Project and the establishment of a Housing Execution Unit that is responsible for the management of the construction of the houses.
After one year, the MIDH is even more poised to effectively and efficiently carry out its full mandate with a streamlined ministerial structure.
The ministry thanks Mr. Guerrero for his valuable contribution towards the ministry’s development over the past year and wishes him the best of luck as he goes back to his private sector ventures.
The MIDH re-affirms its commitment to the people of Belize in ensuring the highest level of professionalism and accountability as we continue to work tirelessly in achieving the goals of Plan Belize.
