Hon. Oscar Mira, Minister of National Defence and Border Security, is currently in Panama representing Belize at the Central American Security Conference (CENTSEC 2025), taking place from April 8 to 10, 2025.
CENTSEC is a key regional security forum that brings together Central American and United States defence and security leaders annually. The conference serves as a vital platform to strengthen regional cooperation, foster open dialogue on shared challenges, exchange best practices, and develop collaborative strategies to improve regional security.
This year’s conference, co-hosted by the Republic of Panama and the United States of America, focuses on enhancing regional defence through joint operations and cybersecurity. CENTSEC 2025 builds on the success of previous conferences, reaffirming the shared commitment to promoting peace, stability, and security throughout Central America.
