On October 12, 2021, Hon. Rodwell Ferguson, Minister of Public Utilities, Energy and Logistics, received a cheque from Digi for $3.5 million.
The payment was for dividend that was announced at the Annual General Meeting on September 30, 2021, for fiscal year April 2020 to March 2021. This now totals over $10 million paid to the Government of Belize for dividend payment in the past 12 months.
Digi’s dividend payment will assist the government’s economic recovery efforts and foster support to the development of Belize.
