On Thursday, February 25, 2021, Hon. Andre Perez, Minister of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation, and Ms. Kennedy Carrillo, CEO in the Ministry, participated in the Special Session of the Regional Board of COCESNA (Corporación Centroamericana de Servicios de Navegación Aérea).
COCESNA is a non-profit and public service organisation of Central American Integration which provides air traffic services, aeronautical telecommunications, navaids and aeronautical information for the territories of its member states (Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua).
Minister Perez was recently appointed as a member of the Finance Committee of COCESNA. During the meeting, Minister Perez and CEO Carrillo discussed promising opportunities for collaboration to contribute significantly to the development of the Belize Department of Civil Aviation.
The Ministry of Blue Economy and Civil Aviation along with COCESNA seeks to continue upgrading air traffic service at the Philip S.W. Goldson International Airport.
