The Ambassador of El Salvador to Belize, H.E. Mrs. Julia Carolina Rovira Aguilar, this morning presented her letters of credence to the Governor General of Belize, H.E. Sir Colville Young.
In welcoming the new ambassador, the Governor General spoke of the long friendship shared between the two Central American nations and his wishes for its continuation. He also noted the important role Belize has played in providing a haven for refugees fleeing El Salvador.
For her part, Ambassador Rovira Aguilar thanked the Governor General for his warm welcome and a strengthened relationship between the two during her tenure.
