The Fisheries Department informs the public of its new licensing procedures in light of the national COVID-19 situation.
Effective September 14, 2020, the Department will be issuing licenses by appointments ONLY. To access these services, interested persons must schedule an appointment by calling the Fisheries Department’s offices in Belize City or Punta Gorda.
Please note that fishers from the Toledo and Stann Creek districts should only make appointments at the Punta Gorda Fisheries Department Office. All other interested persons should schedule appointments at the Belize City Fisheries Department Office. Fishers are reminded to bring along all completed documents in order to facilitate the application process.

Opening hours for the licensing section are 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
