Belmopan, October 24, 2024.
Last Friday, the Minister of Health introduced legislation in the House of Representatives to amend the KHMHA Act. This initiative is grounded in the belief that comprehensive representation promotes a more equitable and effective decision-making process, benefiting both employees and the organization as a whole.
The NTUCB comprises various member organizations, including the KHMHWU, each representing unique sectors and roles within the workplace. By having this umbrella organization on the Board, we will ensure that the diverse interests and perspectives of all employees are effectively represented, fostering a governance structure that truly reflects the workforce.
The inclusion of the NTUCB on the Board of Governors is essential for ensuring comprehensive representation, enhancing collective bargaining power, and advocating for the rights and well-being of all employees.
