JD Financials Limited (Mega Bingo) agreed to the proposal made by the Lotteries Committee to increase their starting jackpot from $100,000 to $150,000 effective September 1st, 2023. The company also agreed to increase the prize per draw to $4,000 when there is no winner. Previously, the prize increase never surpassed $2,500 per draw.
The jackpot drawn on August 30, 2023, was $146,708 and there was no winner so, the value on September 1 was increased to $150,000 and was drawn on September 2, 2023. Once again, there was no winner. This jackpot value now increases to $154,000 to be drawn on September 6, 2023.
The Lotteries Committee is working diligently with all lottery license holders to enhance consumer protection and ensure that all Belizeans who purchase lottery tickets obtain the most benefit.
