Collective Bargaining Agreement Signed between the Central Bank of Belize and Christian Workers Union

Belmopan, July 5, 2022. 5:40 p.m. 

The Central Bank of Belize and the Christian Workers Union (CWU) this morning signed a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for 186 employees for a three-year period.  The signing ceremony took place in Belize City at the Central Bank of Belize’s conference room.

The agreement seeks to maintain and enhance the good relations that exist between the bank and the union.

The Ministry of Rural Transformation, Community Development, Labour, and Local Government congratulates the Central Bank of Belize and the CWU on the timely conclusion of the CBA, as well as the spirit of goodwill and collaboration that prevailed throughout the negotiations.

The ministry continues to work closely with employers and employees across the country to promote good industrial relations, fairness, impartiality and tripartism for the benefit of all.
