The Department of Youth Services in the Ministry of Youth, Sports, and E-Governance formally gathered with its financial officers, CEO, and head directors to address the 2021-2022 budget planning.
The purpose of the meeting was to ensure that the various bodies of the Ministry are integrated to effectively serve in the development of youth, sports and e-governance. Strategies were formulated and crosscutting institutional linkages were laid out for the establishment of an in-depth budget to capacitate youth across Belize.
Under the previous administration, the budget allocated for the Ministry of Youth and Sports was $4 million. The new budget, in line with the Plan Belize Manifesto, is $12 million with the possibility of a yearly increase.
